Chicago - What do you want to do?
Ladies:
There are so many fun things to do in Chicago! I don't know what you all are interested in doing. I know that we've planned for a long weekend. What do you all want to do? When is everyone planning on arriving? As of right now, I plan on taking that Friday off. So, if anyone is flying in, I"m more than happy to do some airport pick ups.
Do you want to go and get massages? Do you want to shop? (shoes- :)) GO to the Shedd Aquarium? Natural History Museum? Let me know! If you love italian food, there is an INCREDIBLE place in Chicago called Rosebud (www.rosebudrestaurants.com) It's the Taylor Street location. It's old school italian, Sinatra and his crew used to hang out there all the time. You almost expect to see Tony Soprano walk through the door. For church on Sunday, if you are interested in going, there is Old St. Patricks. AWESOME church.
These are all some ideas.
Let me know what you think!

Our Trip To Chicago - HOTELS!! :)
Hey Girls!:) Here are a couple of ideas for hotels for our trip this upcoming May! They are all in the same area, within walking distance of many major attractions. I've tried to find some with all the ammenties that some of us had talked about! :) I found these on hotels.com, but I think we should book through each individual hotel. Let me know what you think!
1.) Inn of Chicago (http://www.ascendcollection.com/hotel-chicago-illinois-IL383)
2.) Hilton Garden Inn (http://hiltongardeninn.hilton.com/en/gi/hotels/index.jhtml;jsessionid=XMIYNU0FCVW3KCSGBIVMVCQ?ctyhocn=CHIDNGI)
3.) The Courtyard by Marriott (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/chimm-courtyard-chicago-downtown-magnificent-mile/ )
4.) Comfort Inn & Suites (http://www.chicagocomfortinn.com/) (free continental breakfast each morning) I like this place :)
5.) Double Tree Hotel Chicago (http://www.doubletreemagmile.com/)
There are so many more. I went to hotels.com and put in Chicago and selected magnificent mile. Take a look and let me know what you think. I would be perfectly happy at any of these places. I've stayed at Comfrot Inn & Suites before, and like them too! :)

WOW. 2011!
First of all, I want to start off by saying Happy New Year. It's been an amazing year. I have a lot of news and updates to talk about, and I'm going to get started on that tomorrow. It's been a crazy year for me, made some new friends (The NEW NDNATION), took a few trips, and see some big changes coming my way for the new year. I'll work on a Review of 2010, and post it tomorrow. Thank you all for caring about me and thinking of me. :) God Bless, and GO IRISH! (How many days until College Football Season starts again?????

Nice, Relaxing Weekend!
Whoah, long time no post, huh? It's been about 2 weeks since my last post. Bad blogger!:)
I had a pretty relaxing weekend. For the last several weekends, I have been going back to Chicago for various things. This was my first weekend at home in a long time, and boy did I need it! :) It didn't start out the greatest, though! :( We had a storm on Friday as we were getting out of work. It was pretty nasty. No power when I got home, and my little apartment started to get pretty warm! So, I packed up my trusty laptop and headed to Starbucks! Vanilla Bean Frappucino, air-conditioning and free wi-fi! (Too bad there wasn't a Sonic nearby....). Hung out there for a while, and then went and got a bunch of ice for the coolers for the meat that I had in my fridge....Read by candlelight & flashlight and went to bed, with windows open! Around 12:15 at night, I heard people yelling in the street that the power was back on! YEAH! :)
Saturday I took my car in for an oil change and check up,did some shopping for the wedding I'm going to next weekend (will blog about that for sure!! :), had dinner with friends, came home and fell asleep!! :)
Sunday was church and then a major cleaning of my apartment. I'm almost done and should be able to finish my bedroom this week. Not sure if someone is gonna spend the night at my apartment Friday nite before the wedding. One of the guys I work with (it's a work wedding) has an obligation on Friday in Bettendorf, Iowa. His girlfriend and I are going to go and get our nails done on Friday nite and probably out for dinner, and then she might sleep over. She and 2 of the other guys I work with and I are going to drive to the wedding -it's 2 hours away and then all the "Barton" people are staying in a hotel and are going out after the wedding! Should be a blast! :)
Hope you all have a GREAT week...and then...LABOR DAY weekend is the day the Echoes will be forever awoken. Mark my words. Saturday, September 4, 2010. 2:30 p.m. Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, Indiana. The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame vs. the Boilermakers of Purdue University. HERE COME THE IRISH!
God Bless,
Love,
Cindy
